As the Chief Technical Officer at Equity Release Supermarket, Jamie oversees the cyber infrastructure and spearheads the future IT developments of the company.

His task is to ensure the company’s technology runs efficiently and profitably in tandem with the high demands of customer service. His role also extends much further by assisting the CEO - Mark with the business direction and strategy from an IT perspective.

Jamie is also considered to be the go-to expert for all the strategic partner firms with whom Equity Release Supermarket employ.

Researching the latest tools and technology available outside the equity release industry, Jamie helps advise Equity Release Supermarket on how the customer journey can be improved further. This can be evidenced by the company being the first equity release broker to provide customers with a unique, secure online portal where they can download documents & case track their own application.

In 2021, Equity Release Supermarket released the first consumer-facing research tool with the eagerly anticipated release of smartER. This tool embodies what the company stands for – enabling transparency within the equity release industry by allowing customers to study the market at their own leisure.

During 2023, the first bespoke made equity release Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) was launched in the form of advisER. enabling the industry’s first combined digital factfind and suitability letter writer.

In addition, Jamie’s support and expertise has helped the company achieve the distinction of winning the WhatMortgage Best Website 2018-2023 Awards, never seen by any equity release brokerage previously.

Jamie’s background since leaving university has been within website development and how best to commercialise this opportunity. Having built his own online gaming websites, Jamie knows how important the customer journey is, and why technology will have an increasingly important role in everyone’s lives.

Embracing technology and sometimes simplifying the apparent complexities is Jamie’s goal, particularly with both and advisers and clients - especially given some are even in the same age range!
