Hello, I’m Susan, an independent equity release adviser here at Equity Release Supermarket.
My early career was spent in corporate finance as an accountant and treasurer, but after a taking a break to be with my family, I attained the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning whilst working in a financial advice firm on pensions and investments.
I soon realised that I wanted to specialise in equity release because it’s a really interesting and fulfilling area of financial advice; I love the variety of clients and their situations, and the way the market is evolving so rapidly to meet customer needs.
I was delighted to join Equity Release Supermarket as they really stand out to me as a company that wants to serve clients to find their best possible outcome – in their own time, on their own terms, without undue pressure and always with a friendly and supportive adviser on hand to call upon.
Helping other people is what motivates me, and equity release can potentially make a huge difference to quality of life. Deciding whether to go ahead is a really important decision and it’s very satisfying to help a broad spectrum of people navigate through their options in a responsible and supportive way. I pride myself on always going that extra mile and I hope that my passion and dedication shines through for all my clients.
Outside work, my husband and I are kept very busy with our three children, chickens, cats, and hamster!
As well as spending time at home with them, I enjoy being active and outdoors, cycling, walking and swimming, ideally with a few friends and a good chat.
